As we get older we start to believe that some things are just impossible for us to achieve. When I turned 30 (2010), that seemed to be a year where I allowed myself to believe I now had limitations. I have found that though I have made it over many obstacles in my life I have also set up plenty along the way. This list contains the things that I wish to accomplish before I enter middle age, some items are lifetime goals. This list may continue to grow as I am continuously inspired by people doing great things and reaching their goals. I will be making updates down below and will be blogging about the bigger achievements as well. This is something I am extremely passionate about yet let be put on the back burner because I allow everyday life to get in the way. I plan to achieve these things while being the best husband and daddy I can be.

What would you add to your own impossible list?

This list is quite long and I encourage everyone in my life to keep me accountable to this list. I was inspired to publicly display my challenges list after I stumbled across this blog.

  1. My impossible list includes swimming with sharks, swim with dolphins in the wild, learn to scube, visit the Netherlands, and get one of those letters from a student 10+ yrs after I taught them saying how much I helped them.

  2. I love that last one. Confirmation that you effected a life. Possibly be that name as the answer to the “My favorite teacher” security question on someone’s online banking.

  3. we share a few of the same fitness goals.  what do you say we knock a few out?  lets do a 5k before the end of the year.  i think i could probably hang with a 10k if you want to get crazy!

  4. I had to cut back on running after hurting myself to often. I want to attempt running again after spending 30 days at a standing desk. I think that I may have a bit more strength and it may have helped my shin splints. The last time I attempted 5k (3.1 miles) I made it 1.8 miles before I had to start walking. At that point I felt like I had been through the movie Misery (see image). This year has been much harder on me physically than I could have imagined. 30’s are no joke.

  5.  We wanna see the six-pac when it shows up! lol

  6. I need to make myself a list. I’ve been kind of floundering recently and need to sharpen my focus. Some of those things on your list should be on mine.
