iTunes on iPhone

So I did the iPhone version 1.1.1 update yesterday and as I lie in bed I played with it before crashing out. It was pretty easy to navigate through. The menus are pretty simple and making a purchase is even easier.

The only thing that I think could be improved on is the ability to search music by genre when you do not know the name of the group. Say you were looking for a certain rock band and did not know the name. Then you would never be able to find them. You have to know the name unless it’s a featured or top 10 band. They go beyond top 10 once you go down the list but you have to click to go to another page. iTunes on the iPhone will not rid you of the need to use iTunes on the computer, it is much faster to use iTunes on the computer but it got me David Crowder Band last night while I was in bed. So I rocked out to Crowder for a few minutes then crashed out.  It was easy for me to find Crowder because his new CD was at the top of Featured under Inspirational Music.

You have to be connected to a LAN (wireless network) in order to even look at iTunes Music Store but from the looks of it if you tried using the EDGE network to download those pages you would be there all day, to download a entire album, maybe all week.

Good job Apple on version 1.0 of iTunes on the iPhone.
