Carbalicious
As much as I want to cut down on carbs in my diet, mostly sugar intake, this is not a good time of year for that. Halloween candy all over the place, every meeting I go to, every friends house, etc… I’m sure there are alternatives out there to every food item you wish to consume but I believe that takes the fun out of it. I love mini crunch bars, sour skittles and all of that stuff. Even trying to eat lower carbs is confusing to me, I don’t know how to do it. I guess if I had a personal relationship with the food lord Rachel Ray I could just cast out carb demons in her name but I just can’t give that stuff up during this season. It’s like a seasonal adiction that is bread into us from childhood. Well, actually it is. I never buy candy unless its some sort of seasonal holiday… Take Halloween for example, we are told to dress up = buy a costume, give out candy = buy candy to give away and decorate your house = buy more stuff that can only be used on one day out of the year…
Now what started out as a blog about wanting to eat less carbs has became a rant about commercialism. It’s funny because you think about countries that have less then we do and we pity them. Really they are the people with true freedom. I digress before I get any more random then I have already became… Someone hand me another Mini Crunch Crisp please.
