Got Skype? I do, and it’s awesome for many reasons, including super-cheap (or free) calling, video calling, and being able to check voicemail remotely. Given its comparable audio quality to “old fashioned” landlines, it’s still kind of amazing that the U.S. has not yet embraced Skype as much as Europe and Asia. Now that standalone phones are available from Linksys, Netgear, and more, it’s time to consider ditching your pricey landline calling plan.
